Opening the 3D model…
Stand with the feet about 1 m apart and parallel, outer edges pressing down. Interlace the fingers behind the back, straighten the elbows, press the palms together (or hold a strap between the hands) and broaden the chest. Inhale to lift the breastbone; exhale and fold from the hip joints, crown of the head toward the floor between the feet; the arms leave the back, rise toward the ceiling and let gravity carry them gradually over the head. The hips stay right above the ankles, the knees straight but not locked, and no weight goes onto the head. The backs of the legs and the inner thighs stretch as in the Wide-Legged Forward Bend; in addition the fronts of the shoulders and the chest open. With stiff shoulders hold a strap wider apart and never jerk the arms down; with a painful or injured shoulder skip the clasp and keep the hands on the hips or on the floor as in the Wide-Legged Forward Bend. To come out, bring the hands back to the lower back and inhale up slowly with a straight back. With high blood pressure or dizziness, fold only until the back is parallel to the floor, head no lower than the heart.
